For almost two years of being married and waiting for a little baby to come, God finally heard our prayers and blessed us with the most precious gift we could wished for.
It was on the last week of August when I felt really anxious of what it felt like being pregnant since I was already delayed of my menstruation. And so hubby bought a pregnancy test but I decided not to have it done yet beacuse I feared it will come out negative.
Early morning of September 7, 2013, hubby and I are preparing to go to church for our Dawn Worship (hubby was the speaker), I decided to have it done and went to the bathroom, I closed my eyes and prayed, and BOOM!
Here she is! Meet our princess, DOROTHY ELLEANA PERALTA MARQUEZ. She was delivered on April 20, 2014 at 11:30 in the morning via Cesarean Section done by Dr. Jean De Paz and weighed 2.9kg.
Maybe you are wondering why is she on oxygen support? Because she has good cry but with a little grunting and the pediatrician told us that maybe because of the transition from my womb to the outside world. Little Woot recovered after that and was given to me after 24 hours of observation in the NICU.
More pictures of this little angel on my next post. See you!
April 20, 2014 - Easter Sunday. It was a funny thing to know that I will be giving birth to our first born on the same occasion that me and hubby first met, Resurrection Sunday. It was an overwhelming feeling. I cannot explain what I felt during that day. 4:00 AM - Hubby and I woke up early to prepare for the dawn service in our church. 5:00 AM - Before leaving the house, I took a picture of the things that we are going to bring at the hospital.
Our bag and the baby's essentials.
Well, we are not going to bring this crib but, I just want to have a picture of it. This crib is a gift from our dear Lola Bennie.
9:00 AM - After the church service, we headed home and I prepared myself for the delivery of the baby. I took a relaxing bath to ease my anxiety, and then we headed to the hospital, my Mom came with us.
10:00 AM - I checked in at the Quijano Clinic and Hospital. I filled up some paper works, they called my OB and the Anesthesiologist, they hooked an IV, started the antibiotics, shaved my tummy, and the long waiting game is on.
At the emergency room with the ER Nurse.
11:00 AM - My OB arrived. They transported me to the Labor Room, hubby went with me, we prayed while waiting then he kissed me good luck, then the Nurse accompanied me to the Operating Room.
11:10 AM - The Pediatrician and the Anesthesiologist arrived.
Pregnancy has lots of ups and downs. Fortunately for me first trimester was the only challenging stage of my pregnancy the rest was absolutely an amazing journey. It was an answered prayer when this little baby came along for almost two years of waiting and hoping. So I am going to share photos of my pregnancy. Enjoy!
September 7th the day we knew a precious gift is coming.
Anxiously waiting for the bump.
18 weeks. Sorry for the scar!
19 weeks and the bump is almost there!
20 weeks and the bump is here!
Lazy day for the preggy mom!
8 months and counting the days.
Trying to stay in shape and fashion during these times.
Its a girl for us! It took us almost 7 or 8 months to know the gender. (Just to be sure)
