We celebrated Wooty's first birthday with family and friends last April and it was a lot of fun. We sincerely thank all those that joined us and we are also very thankful for all the gifts that our little birthday girl received.
Oh my, how fast time flies really...
The stage decor came out really nice I think. We only had a few hours to decorate because we joined the church anniversary sportsfest and we had to join the volleyball game. Thank you so much to my sister, my brother-in-law, my cousin and her husband for helping us blow the balloons, create the pompons, hang the lanterns and buntings and everything that we had to do to prettify the space.
Thanks bunches to my sister for donating the cake and cupcakes as well as the prizes for the games.

Yay! Wooty is one. The event also doubled as the dedication party for my niece, Viktoria Summer.
I love the cupcakes. Our inspiration is shabby chic. I also love the pastel colors. Oh and of course the chocolate cake was so delicious. Thank you to KatCakes for accommodating our request.

Huge thanks to Kuya Cesar for agreeing to be the impromptu masters of ceremonies. Kuya used to stay with us when he was studying in the university. He is now a teacher and works as a radio jock on the side.

Looking forward to more wonderful years for our little miss Wooty. We thank God for giving you to us. You are indeed a blessing. You came at the right time and we couldn't ask for anything more. We hope you grow up to be God-fearing, respectful, smart and loving.
We had a photoshoot at The Picture Company in Greenbelt 5 last month. We were tagged along by my sister because she scheduled a newborn photoshoot for the newest member of our family and my niece, Viktoria Summer.

She's growing to have so much personality already. Oh Wooty, please don't grow up so fast. Deep inside I couldn't wait to see my Wooty and Summer play and have their own cousin bonding.

We will be travelling again to Manila before the end of the month to be with my sister and help organize her Baby Shower.
Here she is! Meet our princess, DOROTHY ELLEANA PERALTA MARQUEZ. She was delivered on April 20, 2014 at 11:30 in the morning via Cesarean Section done by Dr. Jean De Paz and weighed 2.9kg.
Maybe you are wondering why is she on oxygen support? Because she has good cry but with a little grunting and the pediatrician told us that maybe because of the transition from my womb to the outside world. Little Woot recovered after that and was given to me after 24 hours of observation in the NICU.

April 20, 2014 - Easter Sunday. It was a funny thing to know that I will be giving birth to our first born on the same occasion that me and hubby first met, Resurrection Sunday. It was an overwhelming feeling. I cannot explain what I felt during that day.
4:00 AM - Hubby and I woke up early to prepare for the dawn service in our church.
5:00 AM - Before leaving the house, I took a picture of the things that we are going to bring at the hospital.

Well, we are not going to bring this crib but, I just want to have a picture of it. This crib is a gift from our dear Lola Bennie.
9:00 AM - After the church service, we headed home and I prepared myself for the delivery of the baby. I took a relaxing bath to ease my anxiety, and then we headed to the hospital, my Mom came with us.
10:00 AM - I checked in at the Quijano Clinic and Hospital. I filled up some paper works, they called my OB and the Anesthesiologist, they hooked an IV, started the antibiotics, shaved my tummy, and the long waiting game is on.

11:00 AM - My OB arrived. They transported me to the Labor Room, hubby went with me, we prayed while waiting then he kissed me good luck, then the Nurse accompanied me to the Operating Room.
11:10 AM - The Pediatrician and the Anesthesiologist arrived.
11:30 AM - OUR BABY IS HERE! (pictures next post)
